Camerata courses are run over a weekend in a number of attractive locations.

Camerata Upper Voices, Orford

This new departure for Paul Spicer’s Camerata course is aimed at a chamber choir of expert, ambitious and high achieving upper voices (sop/alto) and will take place in the beautiful setting of St Bartholomew’s Church in Orford, Suffolk. Its aim will be to perform high quality music in a place that is so strongly linked to Britten and was the chosen setting for many of Britten’s premieres: Noye’s Fludde; Church Parables; Burning Fiery Furnace; Prodigal Son; and Curlew River.The provisional programme for the weekend is:
Saturday: 10 am Register and coffee 10.30 - 1.00 pm Rehearsal 1.00 - 2.00 pm Lunch * 2.00 - 4.00 pm Rehearsal 4.00 - 4.30 pm Tea 4.30 - 5.30 pm Rehearsal * A light lunch of soup, filled rolls, fruit, and juice/tea/coffee is included on both days |
Sunday: 10.00 am Rehearsal Coffee 12.00 Rehearsal 1.00 pm Lunch * 2.00 - 4.00 pm Rehearsal Tea 5.00 pm Concert |
